Monday, May 4th - Day 1 (A-B-C-D) The special in the cafeteria at noon is chicken fettuccine or grilled chicken caesar.
Tuesday, May 5th - Day 2 (B-A-D-C) The special in the cafeteria at noon is club wrap and salad or spaghetti and garlic bread.
A student loan information session is scheduled for the Lecture Theatre at noon.
The Three Oaks Minor Soccer program begins. Approximately 200 participants will take to the fields with 60+ student coaches and co-ordinators, each within their own colour co-ordinated t-shirts compliments of local sponsors. The program uses the field surrounding Three Oaks. Games begin at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 6th - Day 1 (A-B-C-D) The special in the cafeteria at noon is tacos and fries.
In sports, the A boys’ rugby team host Bluefield at 5:30 p.m. The AAA girls host Bluefield at 5:30 p.m. The AAA boys host Bluefield at 6 p.m.
Thursday, May 7th - Day 2 (B-A-D-C) The special in the cafeteria at noon is roast turkey dinner or macaroni casserole.
The Family Place family resource centre, will host lunch and learn sessions for pregnant and parenting students in the school. They are invited to join Lori Clarke each Thursday as she’ll share lunch and information on topics such as; pre-natal care, labour, delivery, and parenting. The group meets each Thursday in the Three Oaks conference room at noon.
In sports, the A boys’ rugby team travels to Charlottetown Rural for a game at 5 p.m.
The Three Oaks Minor Soccer program is scheduled for the fields beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Friday, May 8th - Day 1 (A-B-C-D) The special in the cafeteria at noon is bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Noteworthy Items:
Encounters with Canada is an annual exchange involving students and teachers from across Canada. Students are housed in Ottawa for a period of one week. Conferences, workshops, and exterior visits are creatively designed around the themes, which vary from week to week. Applications are now being received for next years’ program. For more information, contact Mr. Donovan in Student Services
Holland College will be offering summer credits in the following courses: Math 421, 521, 621, Biology 621, Chemistry 521, 621, and Physics 621. Courses run from June 1st to the end of August on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The locations are Charlottetown and Tignish.
Report cards were passed out recently. If you did not see a progress report, you should ask.
Congratulations to the AAA boys’ rugby team who won the Rugbyfest tournament in Rothesay last weekend.
Congratulations to the TOSH badminton team who performed well at the provincial championships held recently. They tied in points in the juvenile girls’ division and won the juvenile boys’ and senior boys’ divisions. Fifteen players participated for Three Oaks.
P.I.S.A. (Program for International Student Assessment) will be written by all grade 10 students on Tuesday, May 12 th at 9 a.m. The completion time is approximately 12:15 p.m. We are a Stats Canada province, meaning all students born in 1993 are required to do the testing. This year the PISA assessment will focus on reading, mathematics, and sciences.
Jayne Webb, Provincial Co-ordinator for Red Cross Water Safety is looking for certified water safety instructors who are interested in teaching swimming lessons at pools and beaches across P.E.I. For more information, contact Student Services.
Graduates:
If you are planning on attending post secondary upon graduation, you must indicate where you would like your final transcript sent. If you are a potential scholarship student, you need to send your information to your school of choice to be considered.
A Student loan presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre for all interested parents. Representatives from Canada Student Loan and from Consolidated Credit Union will be on hand to assist in this presentation.
UPEI bound students who are planning on taking first year calculus, must write a pre-calculus test. This test will be written at TOSH on May 7th at 11:45 a.m. in the Lecture Theatre.
