Monday, March 30th - Day 1 (A-B-C-D) The special in the cafeteria at noon is chicken caesar salad or chili cheese nachos.
Tuesday, March 31st - Day 2 (B-A-D-C) The special in the cafeteria at noon is lasagna and salad or club wrap and salad.
The Three Oaks Minor Basketball program is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. The grades 3 and 4 division happens at Three Oaks. The grades 5 and 6 division happens at Parkside. The grades 3 and 4 program is over at 8 p.m. The grades 5 and 6 program is over at 8:15 p.m.
Wednesday, April 1st - Day 1 (A-B-C-D)
Thursday, April 2nd - Day 2 (B-A-D-C) The Tourism Industry Association of P.E.I. (TIAPEI) in partnership with East Prince Youth Development is hosting the Summerside Job Fair to be held at the Credit Union Place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. This is an opportunity for students to meet with potential employers.
The Family Place family resource centre, will host lunch and learn sessions for the pregnant and parenting students in the school. They are invited to join Lori Clarke each Thursday as she’ll share lunch and information on topics such as; pre-natal care, labour, delivery, and parenting. The group meets each Thursday in the Three Oaks conference room at noon.
Parent-teacher interviews are scheduled for the evening. Parents are provided with the opportunity for private interviews with each subject teacher. These interviews are not automatic. Request forms were sent home with students.
The Three Oaks Minor Basketball is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Instruction and games take place at Three Oaks and Parkside.
Friday, April 3rd - Parent-teacher interviews are scheduled for the day, no classes.
Saturday, April 4th - The annual TOSH Band Spring Gala evening is scheduled for the cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m. This is a full evening of entertainment with a turkey dinner, 50/50 draw, etc. A reminder for all participants to bring their tickets to present at the door. A big thank you to all the families for their help and support of the band students.
Noteworthy Items:
Congratulations to both concert bands who performed very well at Band Days recently. The comments from the two adjudicators were very positive.
Progress reports were handed out recently in home room. If parents have not seen these reports, they should ask.
A general question and answer session will take place for any grade 12 students who will be attending UPEI in September on Wednesday, April 8th at 2 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre. After the general session, representatives are willing to meet with students and/or parents to answer university questions, course/credit selections, etc. Please indicate if you would like to meet individually with a representative by dropping into Student Services to sign up. All students are encouraged to meet with an advisor to discuss course options and be eligible for early registration.
Woodworking at TOSH:
Woodworking Technology is open to Grade 10 and 11 students. This course introduces students to fundamental woodworking techniques through the safe use of power tools and equipment. Students will put their knowledge into practical use as they construct several assigned projects.
A follow-up to this course is Furniture Design and Construction designed only for those students who have demonstrated a keen interest and desire to develop their skills further. Students will be required to show a high degree of expertise as they construct two assigned projects. Both of these courses are single credit.
